Sales Engineer - Cyber Security

The Sales Engineer (SE) is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides high level pre sales support and guidance to customers and collaborates with Territory Managers and partners to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings. The SE acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in his/her field by the account team, channel partners and customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to customers and partners. Including installations, troubleshooting and training of company’s products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity
  • Define solution options and articulate the benefits of the company’s products
  • Act as an interface between the Sales organization and technical staff to resolve outstanding issues
  • Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management and Engineering
  • Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of the company’s products
  • Understand the customer’s business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design

 

Requirements:

  • Must have pre sales experience in the computer networking or security space
  • Travel throughout the region may be required.
  • Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies across multiple technical environments and a solid awareness of the security landscape and offerings
  • Extensive experience in a hands on technical role, capable of deploying and managing Proof of Concept equipment in customer networks
