Channels and Alliances Marketing Manager, Asia-Pacific and Japan

This role oversees Channels and Alliances marketing across the Asia Pacific and Japan region.  The role involves deep engagement with the Channels organization to drive business results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications and Enablement

Review, improve and measure effectiveness of communications and enablement of partners.
  • Enablement, training and certification are assisted by the Channels and Alliances Marketing manager in terms of event management, communication, and overall tracking;
  • Channels and Alliances communications are clearly organized and segmented by audience (ie business vs technical; or partner tiers);
  • Database is regularly updated and quality-controlled to ensure communications are reaching the partners;
  • Review and provide feedback on content and key issues/needs the channel is expressing for communications from the company
  • Maintain and ensure Partner Portal is up to date (including Asian language pages).  Track and benchmark use of APJ Portal (including Japanese, Chinese, Korean pages) to overall metrics at global and region level

Demand Generation

  • Plan, develop and execute marketing programs in support of, and together with, APJ Sales and  Channel leadership, Channel Account Managers, Partners, Marketing at both corporate and regional level.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of Channel Marketing investments at region, country, partner level.  Adopt (from Corporate) or develop where necessary: processes; manual tracking; automated tracking of the investments and their results.
  • Increase partner-driven revenue in Asia Pacific Japan and support this with an agreed upon return on demand-gen marketing investments
  • Engage strategic alliance partners as agreed with the business for larger scale, and/or broader regional Marketing initiative

Review and Analysis

Deliver a quarterly Analysis and Review of partner ecosystem and performance vis a vis the market (macro environment).  Key competitive issues will be identified in the document along with a review of the overall Channels and Alliances activity in APJ.
  • Report is delivered in Word format, at end of first month of quarter; reviews previous quarter’s performance; incorporates feedback from the Channel and the business on upcoming Channel marketing

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years marketing experience across multiple countries/markets in Asia Pacific and Japan.
  • Channels Marketing experience is highly desirable for background of the candidate.
  • Knowledge and exposure to working with and understanding Channel Sales
