Public Sector Account Executive

A Public Sector Account Executive with a proven track record in exceeding your sales targets through solution selling, with the ability to build meaningful relationships to drive revenue growth looking to join a high growth, industry shaping security vendor

In this role you will make a significant contribution to the growth and success of the business in your assigned region, territory, or vertical, by developing new business through net-new and existing accounts and managing profitable business relationships to assist in the achievement of the sales plan. You will partner cross-functionally with internal teams to drive these opportunities from initial prospecting through negotiation and contract close, responsible for selling solutions from our entire portfolio.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Public Sector (Federal Government/ Territory Government) accounts within the assigned region.
  • Responsible for lead generation, building relationships with prospective customers, account profiling and developing the prospective customer into a revenue generating customer.
  • Position the company’s platform, including Managed Security Services to craft effective solutions
  • Meet or exceed quarterly/annual sales quota.
  • Develop and manage pipeline, providing weekly updates to forecast.
  • Negotiate contracts, up-sell, build customer rapport, and assist with adoption
  • Provide appropriate sales tracking and reporting as required leveraging Salesforce.com and Clari
  • Represent the company at external events, including industry events
  • Navigate channel and MSSP partners and and effectively collaborate to grow assigned territory business
  • Manage and respond to RFP’s, working with internal stakeholders within and outside of Asia region.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a New Business Sales role within the Cyber Security / Cloud / SaaS industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of solution selling.
  • A track record of consistent performance and outstanding target achievement in a New Business Development role.
  • Proven solution sales experience in identifying market size and focus; developing sales pipeline; penetrating new accounts and driving the sales process.
  • Ability to multi-task numerous sales cycles simultaneously, while ensuring revenue goals are achieved.
  • Takes full accountability for achieving their number, approaches achieving targets with tenacity, determination and a drive to succeed
  • Knowledgeable of the market and market trends within cybersecurity and the cloud space, able to demonstrate credibility and expertise with our prospects and customers
  • Brings existing relationships at Technology Management level within government or public sector customers.
  • Experience working with Public Sector is a must.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit by which you will own and drive your own business in the Public Sector
  • Adaptable, able to adjust style and approach, flexible when faced with changing circumstances.
