Job Summary

The PR Manager, APAC, is responsible for all Public Relations activities in the APAC region.  Working with the international PR teams and Asia Pacific Regional Marketing Managers (and their respective PR agencies), the PR Manager is responsible for driving positive press coverage and helping deliver a greater ‘share of voice’ for the company across both traditional and non-traditional media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement PR strategies, plans and campaigns from inception through to delivery and analysis, in support of key APAC business goals and objectives
  • Work with APAC Regional Marketing Managers to ensure that Marketing and PR plans are aligned in support of business objectives
  • Represent APAC on all corporate and international PR-related activities; liaise closely with corporate PR team and the international PR Team
  • Handle all APAC day-to-day inbound media enquiries
  • Oversee the results from APAC’s PR agencies; work with RMMs and agencies to meet PR-related KPIs and expectations from APAC Management team
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to develop content and messaging
  • Work with the corporate social media team to leverage social media opportunities in APAC and extend reach for the company
  • Develop ‘share of voice’ metrics across the region; work with RMMs to implement plans and strategies to increase the company’s share of voice
  • Work with RMMs and Sales team to identify potential customers case studies and references that can be leveraged for PR and marketing purposes
  • Provide writing and content development support
  • Manage and tightly control the regional PR budget. Leverage budgets where possible to maximise results
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key journalists from traditional and non-traditional media
  • Compile and provide regular reports on results from PR campaigns and activities
  • Brief and train the RMMs and APAC management team as required on new company/product messaging and announcements
  • Provide advice and support on communications-related issues when needed to RMMs and APAC management team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Marketing or Communications-related discipline
  • Minimum  5 – 8 years’ experience, working in a similar role within the IT sector
  • Proven ability to manage third-party agencies and suppliers
  • Experience of working with management teams and remotely with corporate-based teams
  • Experience / strong knowledge of the IT/Enterprise Software/security space an advantage
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of delivering successful PR campaigns
