As the CTO for APAC you will have two sets of collaboration partners. The first is with APAC field sales, channel partners, prospects, customers, public relations, and speaking engagement audiences for the purpose of demonstrating the company’s efficiencies and security benefits for strategic sales engagements. The second is with the individual business unit managers, product managers, product architects, and technical CTOs for the purpose of providing technical input to the product planning process.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who has a deep understanding of how network and endpoint architectures are designed and interoperate when efficiently designed. Equally important is the ability of the candidate to think on his feet and apply his breadth of knowledge to solving customer, prospect, partner, integrator, and audience problems that create increased sales opportunity the company. Direct experience designing and building or deploying networked security technologies will be essential.
Lastly, ability to create timely and thought-provoking blog and presentation materials will allow the candidate to increase not only the brand, but establish an APAC presence with respect to thought leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Upward of 75% travel to engage directly with customers, prospects, partners, and speaking opportunities
- Working with sales, partners, customers and prospects to created tailored presentations and proposals for enterprise sales engagements
- Presenting to customers and prospects on materials above
- The ability to create high level architecture and execution plans against major APAC customer initiatives
- Collaboration and training for sales and systems engineers on communicating ISecG core value messages
- Public relations support
- Evangelism – conference speaking, blogging, PR, white papers, FOCUS presentations, panel moderation, radio, television
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Business Administration, or other related field; or equivalent
- Deep knowledge of security industry Independent Software Vendor (ISV) products and solutions, particularly networked solutions
- Rudimentary understanding of Hardware & Software security technologies, threat management and third party ecosystem security products.
- 10+ years of working experience in Security industry or as a security practitioner in a technical capacity.
- Direct field experience in working with end customers
