Sales Manager (Smartcard Solutions)

The Sales Manager is responsible for Smartcard Solution regional sales and business development activities in the Indonesia. He/She will work closely with the Regional Director, ASEAN & Taiwan and the regional sales teams to identify, evaluate and recommend opportunities consistent with the regional business objectives

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the various phases of the sales process and drive the sales engagement with the Smartcard team and partner’s sales management. This position proactively visits and communicates with partners, customers and prospects to understand their changing business requirements and to promote Smartcard solutions.

To build a pipeline of opportunities for Smartcard Solution and Services and manage it effectively and successfully to meet revenue targets.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute regional business plan and opportunity plans to meet revenue targets in Instant Issuance. To build a healthy pipeline in the key segments of the market.

2. To build a strong relationship with the customer and end users by understanding their environment and business challenges.

3. To optimize all opportunities by working with the company’s and Partner’s technical service teams in understanding the commercial and technical requirements and optimizing company’s offerings in equipment, solutions and services.

4. To follow up and win projects and keep the company updated on related projects, to develop strategic relationships with other companies in the market, with emphasis on developing strategic alliance.

5. Customer interfacing activities – identify, qualify and justify proposals in conjunction with partners, leading to a close for company’s systems and services. Follow up and ensure timely closure of business opportunities.

6. Creation of strategies, business models and solutions for prospects, through discussions with partners.

7. Participation in seminars, exhibitions, partner strategy and planning meetings.

8. To perform other duties and /or projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • A graduate degree in computer science and/or engineering with interests in business marketing is ideal
  • At least 8 – 10 years in business development with sales related functions. Working in a multinational technology company selling to retail banks is more critical – bet it ATMs, item processing equipment, branch automation or enterprise software. Smart Card industry experience a plus.
  • Experience and relationships in selling to retail banks is key.
  • Experience in direct selling especially relevant
  • Experience working with systems integrators and delivery implementation partners. Working with core banking systems and/or card management systems vendors is a strong advantage

Specific Skills

  • Track record in sales opportunity and deal management, especially in qualifying and closing.
  • Ability to work with customers’ senior management, in presenting business case and ROI.
  • Working with partners for pipeline management & forecast commitments
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client-facing skills
  • Experienced in presenting and working with business and technical teams
  • Understand intricacies of complex deal management
