Senior Marketing Manager Financial Solutions, Asia Pacific

The Senior Financial Marketing Manager participates in the strategic leadership for company’s assigned vertical market segment. The mandate of this team is to ensure that we have a deep understanding for the needs and trends of the assigned customer segment through market intelligence, that we lead the market in the development of products and services to address these needs, and to profitably grow market share.  This position is based in Singapore

Responsibilities:

Regional Market Intelligence/Voice of Customer                                                              40%

Key Actions/Activities

  • Develop and establish key partnerships with external customers and network within industry organizations so as to anticipate and meet current and future needs. Conduct regular voice of the customer engagements
  • Collect customer requirements and ensure circulation of customer and sales feedback to vertical and product marketing teams
  • Research market issues and trends, including potentially disruptive technologies
  • Analyze market metrics (market accepted price points, unit volumes, competitive dynamics, market shares and pipelines) to aid decision making
  • Provide insight into regional market segmentation and buying behaviors
  • Represent company at customer meetings/conferences as industry expert
  • Align with regional sales priorities and provide go to market insight to regional leadership.

 

Strategic Ownership & Influence                                                                              40%

Key Actions/Activities

  • Actively contribute to the ongoing global financial vertical strategy ensuring regional priorities are covered under the global strategic vision.
  • Support and drive strategy through leadership of strategic discussions for the vertical market, participate in business development activities, and make recommendations to Regional Leadership Team
  • Contribute to the global financial vertical vision including  business, product and channel strategies to achieve profitable growth in the region and lead the development of regional direction for market oriented solutions
  • Work with product marketing and sales to execute regional product delivery and sales execution
  • Support market-focused product development efforts including participation in portfolio management processes and roadmap planning
  • Based on segment understanding, develop a comprehensive regional solution and sales positioning model that includes compelling value propositions and customer applications and aligns with the global value proposition
  • Develop/refine/update segment oriented sales collateral, in partnership with Marketing Communications team
  • Manage, coach and develop one direct report.

 

Communication                                                                                                                20%
Key Actions/Activities

  • Work with marketing communications to develop white papers and presentations on vertical solutions, to be featured in company’s communications (blogs, website)
  • Partner with Training and Regional Sales teams to define, develop and deliver vertical market training events to increase education and skill set capabilities of the organization
  • Assist sales teams with presentation materials for prospect and customer meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create relevant, regional go to market strategies for new and existing products and solutions
  • Work with sales to create lead generation programs for pipeline contribution
  • Drive relationships with key vertical market players including global customers, product and services partners, industry associations and standards organizations
    • Knowledge of payment association highly desired (i.e., Visa, MasterCard, Elo, Etc.)

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a banking services related company with a focus on payment technology including payment cards, software, payment innovation, and mobile.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, growing and driving change in marketing organizations
  • Proven relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability in driving data-based decisions and strategic business planning
  • History of demonstrated success in driving and delivering strong organizational results
  • Strong knowledge and experience internationally and proven ability to work cross-culturally
  • Demonstrated success in effectively communicating at all levels of an organization
