Corporate Communications Manager

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner C-suite to develop and implement a proactive communications strategy to external stakeholders
  • Responsible for production and distribution of all content, including publications, press releases, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates company’s activities, products and services.
  • As spokesperson for company, engage with media, respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews with relevant external stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists and maintain our media database
  • Manage employee townhalls and other C-suite led internal announcements
  • Prepare and manage the firm’s communication budget
  • Secure media coverage for the company across print, online, and broadcast media
  • Secure keynote speaking positions for the firm at trade and industry conferences
  • Manage and control all aspects of crisis management for the firm
  • Identify & work with third-party team to develop PR initiatives on a long term (annual) and short term (monthly) basis
  • Identify & work with third-party team to identify key media opportunities (press articles, bylines, op-eds, speaking opportunities and event appearances) for co-founders and BU heads
  • Lead offline event planning and execution on a quarterly basis
  • Work in tandem with Business Heads and Marketing Lead to conceptualise, develop and execute offline events, typically targeted at engaging the wider investor community
  • Handle all manner of event planning tasks, including goal and agenda setting, budget planning, registration, pre- and post-event marketing

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Communications, Business Management (Marketing), Economics, or Information Management
  • 3-5 years of experience in communications and content strategy, preferably in the finance / fintech sector
  • Strong experience with content generation and SEO principles, with hands-on experience in digital marketing
  • Experience in managing third party agencies
  • Familiar with media handling and organisation
  • Familiar with marketing analytics and goal tracking
  • Good copywriting skills required
  • Strong technical proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote, Word, and Excel
  • Proficiency in Design Software (Adobe Suite, Canva) will be an added advantage
  • Agency experience is a bonus
